In recent years the Pfleghof, which features a hall that seats 160 guests and a public library, has become a prestigious cultural centre. It is synonymous with a wide range of first-class entertainment and high-quality culture that also includes some unconventional performances. The unique ambiance of the building and the closeness of the artists on the stage create an exceptional charm. The programme, which is mainly put together and organized by the town’s Office of Cultural Affairs (Kulturamt) covers a broad spectrum of events, ranging from concerts in various music styles to cabaret, literature and theatre. Langenau is therefore visited by many internationally renowned artists.

The public library (Stadtbücherei), the adult education centre (Volkshochschule), a local bookshop and culturally active organizations further enrich Langenau’s cultural programme and contribute to its image as a town of culture.
